Claims for the Statutory Sick Pay Refund Scheme will close soon

The Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) refund system will terminate on March 17, 2022, and you will no longer be eligible to claim SSP for your workers’ COVID19 absences or self-isolation that happen after that date.

You can, however, submit any final claims and modify claims that have already been made for absence periods up to 17 March till March 24, 2022.

The standard SSP regulations apply as of March 25, which means you can start paying SSP on the fourth valid day your employee is off work, regardless of the cause for their absence.
